Behind the News Podcast | Psychology of Class & Social interactions and Talking about Debt with Graeber

Great interviews on this Behind the News podcast with Dacher Keltner of UC-Berkeley on the psychology of class and social interactions – he comes across as a little Californian at times, talking about class and hierarchy in terms of animal behavioural studies, but there is some good stuff on class and empathy (working class people have more empathy because its more important for their day to day lives to be able to ‘read’ people)• Also anarchist and critical theorist David Graeber, author of Debt: The First 5,000 Years, provides an anthropologist’s POV on money and debt. Graeber has been heavily involved in anti-Capitalist and anti-globalisation movements. Well worth listening to.
